Goat Rearing Program for the poor Widows

Rehabilitation and Empowerment for Widows: A Project by Rajiv Gandhi Trust

We are delighted to have had your visit to RGT-Krishna Nagar and appreciate your engagement with our marginalized communities. Rajiv Gandhi Trust (RGT) is dedicated to supporting social outcasts, widows, downtrodden individuals, and marginalized groups. Particularly, we focus on providing assistance to widows, who often face severe social and economic neglect.

Our project aims to initiate an income generation program specifically for widows whose futures are uncertain. We plan to rehabilitate 30 widows living on the fringes of society, offering them financial stability and a chance to rebuild their lives. The project has been sponsored and funded by Rev. Neil Fairlamb from the UK, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks.

Impact on the Community:

The project will significantly uplift the lives of 30 widows by providing them with economic opportunities and social support. This initiative will help integrate them into society, improving their living conditions and enabling them to achieve financial independence. The program will also raise awareness about the plight of marginalized communities and encourage broader support and empathy.
