Before the initiation of this mineral water project, children in two government schools faced severe water scarcity. During breaks, they would venture into the streets in search of water, often having to go to agricultural wells to fetch it. This not only disrupted their education but also posed significant health and safety risks.
Our project aimed to replace these vulnerable structures with durable concrete houses, offering a safe and resilient shelter for those most in need. Each house was designed with the specific needs of the families in mind, ensuring not only protection from the weather but also a sense of dignity and permanence.
The project has significantly improved the daily lives of the school children. With access to clean, safe mineral water, students no longer need to leave the school grounds in search of water. This has not only enhanced their health and safety but also allowed them to focus more on their studies, leading to better academic performance and overall well-being.
This vital initiative is generously supported by OTF-Canada. Their collaboration has made it possible to install and maintain the mineral water supply systems in the schools, directly benefiting the poor school children and contributing to a healthier, more conducive learning environment.
